As the recognised peak association in the arts learning area, the NAAE provides access to an extensive network of arts educators and artists and represents the interests, concerns, values and priorities of arts educators in Australia. Drama Australia is one of the affiliated associations of the National Advocates of Arts Education.

Drama Australia detailed response to Review of the Australian Curriculum.

The Commonwealth Government's Review of the Australian Curriculum was released on 12th October 2014 and outlined recommendations relating to the Australian Curriculum generally, and seven recommendations specifically for The Arts.  This document is the submission Drama Australia developed and sent to the Education Minister, the Hon. Christoper Pyne MP. 

 

Drama Australia and National Advocates for Arts Education: Letter to members following October Meetings in Canberra

On 28 and 29 October 2014, the National Advocates for Arts Education (NAAE) met Therese Kenny, Advisor to the Federal Education Minister, the Hon. Christopher Pyne MP; Shadow Federal Education Minister, the Hon. Kate Ellis MP and Senator Deborah O'Neill (member of the Senate Education and Employment Legislation Committee) and Federal Arts Ministry and Federal Education Department officials in a joint meeting.  This document is a letter to Drama Australia members outlining the outcomes of those meetings. 

 

Open Letter to Education Minister

Following the Commonwealth Government's Review of the Australian Curriculum on 12th October 2014, Drama Australia wrote an open letter to the Commonwealth Education Minister, the Hon. Christopher Pyne MP.   The e-petition was signed by just under 2,000 people.
