DRAMA AUSTRALIA’S STATEMENT: 2022 FEDERAL ELECTION

Drama Australia has collated a response in relation to the upcoming election and sent letters to all major political parties.

Our recommendations cover: recognition of value of Drama and the Arts in Education, Increase funding for Drama Education professional learning, and subsidies for early childhood, primary and secondary students access to cultural experiences, particularly viewing live theatre.

Review of Australian Curriculum July 2021

The Australian Curriculum is being reviewed across all learning areas. Drama Australia, with it’s members, wrote a formal response to the new curriculum proposals, for Drama in the Arts, and distributed it to it’s members during the 10 week consultation period ending on July 8th, 2021.

DRAMA AUSTRALIA’S STATEMENT: 2019 FEDERAL ELECTION

Drama Australia has collated a response in relation to the upcoming election and sent letters to all major political parties.

We recommend the arts education policy changes and advocates for the development of a new national arts and cultural policy that provides a blueprint for arts investment and development into the future. The incomplete implementation of the Australian Curriculum: The Arts has highlighted several areas of concern.
